Shar’s newsletters ALWAYS contain something that brings me value, and as a bonus, they usually make me laugh too!  I have only had the opportunity to actually work with her once, but based on that experience, I can say that she brings the same level of insight to the table with her hands on work that she does with her newsletters.  She cuts to the chase and gets it done!  I don’t have time to read too many newsletters….but I always save this one to scan later and it always pays off!  Thanks Shar.  Nanette Pearson, CPA, CAE

In my role as Pharmaceutical Sales Rep I have implented many of the tips found in Douglas Communications e-news with great success. Forwarding the e-news to my colleagues has resulted in several new subscribers. I eagerly anticipate the arrival of the latest e-news from Douglas Communications in my “in-box” as a valuable and informative resource. E.B.

Shar, please allow me to compliment you on your newsletter and to give you some feedback

  1. It is brief and to the point, which is key to maximum open rates (only a few, relevant items per issue)
  2. The subjects are interesting for many constituencies, including operations, marketing, communications and public relations
  3. The front-page summaries are succinct and intriguing

I save each one to a folder in Outlook for future reference because the content tends to be memorable and within a few clicks, I can find it again when needed

I use your newsletter as a benchmark for proper use of the medium.   Keep up the good work. In an age when newsletters are being summarily tossed out and their relevance is in question, I find yours to be a refreshing change, chock full of links to easily find additional information if desired. No one has the time to find all this stuff anymore, so it’s cool when someone else does the “leg work” for you and presents timely content, available within a quick click or two.  Laura Oliveto, Basso Design Group

I always open Douglas Communications Group enews and find something interesting or that is helpful. That is hard to do in this day and age with so much information available. Marilyn Trent, Trent Design

In the time that I’ve known Sharlan, she has proven herself time and again to be an absolute expert in her field.  Her enews newsletter is full of useful and relevant articles concerning today’s business environment, and something I look forward to reading every time.  I would happily recommend Sharlan and the Douglas Communications Group, to anyone who is looking to work with an amazing talent. Sharlan,  No matter how busy I am, I always take time to read the newsletter. I always find the insight and information valuable. Although it’s nice when you confirm some of my views, it’s especially helpful when you make me look at another side of things. Thanks so much for sharing!    Linda Byam,  Marketing Consultant

I believe that Shar has the best e-newsletter format of any that I have found. Well organized, not wordy, interesting links. Kip Garwood-Tull, Boresha Independent Distributor

Always informative content written with a unique voice – often humorous.  There’s always a thought provoking take-away for me. Kim Adams, Professional Pours

Shar Douglas has a gift for finding fresh information and sifting it into relevant bites in her newsletters.  I enjoy them, but I read them because they help me. Ruth Kremer, DMC

Hi Sharlan: Ok, so you were right! Reading your e-newsletter in the middle of my workday gave me a good chance to laugh hard (at the PowerPoint article)! A good hard laugh is always a good thing; it stimulates creativity and keeps us from taking ourselves – and our jobs – too seriously.  You are on to something with the humor. Could be THE key to a successful presentation, either virtual or ITRW.    Thanks for the cheers!  Barbara, Powerful Incentives
